Corporate Philosophy
We believe every child is a unique creation of God. we accept the command of Jesus when He said, â€oesuffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid then not for such is the kingdom of God" (Mark 10:14).
We believe every child is of promise and that each has a right to discover and develop his God-given potential. However, millions of children living in developing countries are too hungry and malnourished, too diseased and poverty stricken to develop as God intended. Since we also believe children are the world's most valuable resource, we purpose to help them reach their God-given potential.
We believe that the well-being of child, present and future is conditioned by his or her surroundings. Therefore, we can improve the surroundings; we can improve the well-being of the child. For example, a child is affected by conditions in his or her .the well being of a child is affected by conditions in the church and community, the well-being of community is affected by the larger society or country and its government. Kanungu young peoples sharing centre believes that as we minister to the families, churches and communities we will enhance the development of children into productive Christian adults.
We believe to ministering to all people. People are neither â€oesoulless stomachs" nor â€oestomach lesssouls." We recognize that â€oeman cannot live by bread alone ..." As Jesus taught, â€oeLife is more than food and the body more than clothing", we do understand. Therefore, that â€oefullness of life" and fulfillment in life can be found only through a personal faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Nevertheless, we also believe that if we are to follow the teaching and example of Jesus Christ, we must share His compassion and concern to â€oefeed the hungry", clothe the naked, house the homeless and heal the sick.
We are therefore committed to people's physical, material, mental, emotional and spiritual development.
Kanungu young peoples sharing centre Statement of Faith
What we believe:
We believe the bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and inerrant word of God (2Tim. 3:15-17, 2Peter 1:21).
We believe there is only one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit (Gen.1:1, Deut. 6:4, Matt. 28:18, Jn.10:30)
We believe in the Deity of Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Is. 7:14, Matt.1:23, Lk. 1:34-35); His sinless life (Heb.4:15, 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (ICor.15:3, Eph. 1:7, Heb. 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25, ICor. 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mk. 16:19); His personal return to earth in glory and power (Act. 1:11, Rev. 19: 11-16)
We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for the salvation of man because of the exceeding sinfulness of the human nature, and that all are justified on the single ground of the shed blood of Christ and that only by God's grace through faith alone are we saved (Eph. 2:8-10, Titus 3:5)
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life and those who are not unto the resurrection of damnation (Jn.5:29).
We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 8:9, ICor. 12:12-13), Gal. 3:26-28).
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Rom. 8:13-14, I Cor. 3: 16, 6:19, Eph. 4:30, 5:18).
We believe that we as Christians are examples of the love of God in this world. It is this (agape) love that we desire to posses and without which we have no right to call ourselves Christians (John 4:16-17).
