Apo: To welcome or to accept gladly.
Dechomai: To receive.
Apodechomai: A Greek verb meaning; to receive without reservation.
Jesus the Christ, the only flesh & blood, Son of God, to ever be born on this earth from God's direct influence, is our example, He chose to fellowship with the people who weren't "religious," (men's formula to be accepted by God and get into heaven). Instead he ministered to the "unloved" & "unlovable", the "undesireables" that were shunned.
We prefer Christianity over religion, & choose to believe Christ who said that He was the ONLY way to be born agin. We have faith that because of our belief, we will be able to fellowship with Him & worship God for all of eternity.
2 Corinthians 5:18 says tht Jesus entrusted us, his followers, with the entire ministry of reconciling people back to God. So, if we don't tell others about God & His son Jesus the Savior then it ain't gonna get done, because He isn't going to send a legion of angels to tell people in this administrtion of grace, which we are so fortunate to live in.
God calls this your "Ministry of Reconcilition"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In 2 Cor 5:19 God said that, in the same way He was in Christ reconciling the world back to Himself, (through Christ's teachings and healings), He is now trying to do through us, if we believe He will, & allow Him to.
Jesus trsnsferred tht role to us when he ascended to God's right hand, where he is waiting the call to come back and get his followers.
Talking to people about Jesus, & watching God spiritually, physically & mentally heal them after we pray, causes them to make a decision that will transform their life now & for all eternity.
God calls this miraculous ability to speak & get results "the Word of Reconcilition."
