The Outreach Ministries of Bolivar Pentecostal Church (IPCC) have the desire to serve the community in which we live and beyond. We would like to be honest with you and let you know that although, we deeply care about physical needs and will do all that we can do to help, our main goal is to make sure that spiritual needs are met. Because He lives, we can live, because He was resurrected, we have hope. What He has given, we can now freely give. We are a ministry that helps to bridge the gap between the community and the church. We supply material and spiritual needs for the pregnant woman and her family free of charge. We have diapers, clothing, maternity clothes, cribs and other items as well. We mentor young women to work within the outreach ministries of the church. We offer emergency birth coaches to the hospital and make hospital visits to those who have no one to visit. We send infant clothing to missionaries in foreign lands. We work within the community with several secular and church organizations. At present, we are working with the local Hispanic Association and Literacy Council to provide services to Spanish speaking members of the community.
We offer food to families that are in need of assistance. We create and carry out many different types of outreaches to the community. Each December, we ask several organizations for referrals of families that are involved in the community, their children's lives, but are lacking in the finance dept. We invite them to a night made for them. They are given a meal, The Word (in drama form) and then proceed to pick out gifts for their own children. We give them a place to wrap them as well. We are planning for a "hospice" type grief camp for children in the summer of 2003. The camp will be for children who have lost a parent within the previous year.
