Brooks Minister Alma M. Brooks: Minister Alma M. Brooks is the wife of Reverend Forest E. Brooks, Sr., the proud pastor of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church. She is the President of the Baptist Minister's Wives and Widow's Council of Louisville and vicinity. She is a teacher with the Jefferson County Public Schools, where she teaches 8th grade Social Studies at Lyman T. Johnson Traditional Middle School. She has been in the United States Army Reserve for the past 18 years and presently holds the rank of Major. But most of all, Minister Brooks is most honored to be a Child of the KING! Minister Fariga "Freddy" Drayton Minister Fariga "Freddy" Drayton: Minister Fariga "Freddy" Drayton is a God-fearing chosen vessel. She was called to preach and proclaim the unadulterated word of God on September 11, 1999. She has had the opportunity to present her gifts to God and to edify the saints. Operating in the gifts of preaching, teaching and Laying on of hands for healing and deliverance, she has also presenting and spreading God's word in:(formally) Women of Wonder, Women's Retreat and Conference Speaker, "Nuggets" Sessions, Instrumental Music Ministry, Step Team Ministry Leader, Liturgical Dance Ministry, Sign Language Ministry, and the Praise and Worship Team. Minister Vicki Jewel Evangelist Kenyatta N. Martin Evangelist Kenyatta N. Martin: Evangelist Kenyatta N. Martin is God-chosen for service to the Body of Christ. As an anointed ministry offering, she is poured out and operates in the gifts of the Holy Spirit as He bids. A servant with a growing commitment to convey the whole counsel of God, she fulfills God's purpose by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His awesome love. Known as Sister K, she has been favored with ministering opportunities in the forms of: Conference and Retreat Speaker, Bible Class Teacher, Choral Director, Step Ministry Leader and Campus Ministry Sponsor. She recently had opportunity to evangelize in Malindi, Kenya were she witnessed almost 1,300 souls birthed into the Kingdom of God during a two-week period. Minister Pauline Phillips Minister Pauline Phillips: Minister Pauline Phillips was born in Los Angeles, CA. At the age of nine, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Praise Chapel Baptist Church. In August 1989, she and her family moved to Louisville, KY. In 1995, She graduated from Fairdale High School and went on to attend and graduate from the School of Cosmetology were she received her license in 1997. For two years, the devil tried to come against her in many ways. As the scripture says, "he came to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus came that I a might have life and have that life more abundantly." Even though tests and trial came her way, God kept her in the midst of it all. In March 1999, she received her calling into the ministry to preach God's word.
