The Diocese of the Rift Valley (Tanzania) have planted a much needed church secondary school. In a village called Kilimatinde it teaches the secondary school sylabus throughout the four years. It struggles to survive the hardships of poverty of that region We need teachers of english and teachers of science to work there We have some nice bungalow accomadation for workers but .... there is now telephone system there is now electricity and there is no running water! We are also helping the school develop a building programme and our current project include the building of a dormitary block and a class room This area of Tanzania is very cur of and very rural and we need a 1.5 ton pick up truck to collect food supplies, building materials etc etc We also operate a student link scheme where we encourage you and the students to corresspond and encourage you to make a donation to the school which helpd the live of the school If you feel you could help us in any way or would like to visit the project - please get in touch
The Diocese run a District Hospital of 140 beds with next to no funding
The hospital run mainly on prayer!
It has two doctors at the moment and runs a large nurses training school
for about 100 students.
If there is anyone who is a qualified hospital doctor (they specialise in gynachology and obstetrics)
then would you be prepared to have an extended holiday
to help them out?
Please be in touch if you can help us in any way
We run a number of other projects through out the diocese
