Station Story
Station Frequency - 88.1 FM Call letters - Not yet assigned. Hours of operation - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Wattage - 1,600 watts, we hope to eventually engineer it up Studio location - We are exploring many locations thoughout the city of Savannah. Initial broadcast equipment cost - $150 K One years budget - $200 K Budget format - Listener supported & special events, we cannot sell time, but rather sponsored programing and production costs Format - Christian Hit Radio along with the best national programs. Twenty-two hours of music with a message. 88.1 FM will be a listener-supported, non-commercial, adult contemporary Christian radio station. We are currently raising funds and building our studios. Music format -Christian Hit Radio plays the best produced music in the country such as: The Waiting, Jaci Velasquez, Out of Eden, Rebecca St James, Audio Adrenaline, Anoited, DC Talk, Steven Curtis Chapman, etc. Ministry format - A mix of local and national ministries such as Dr. Dobson, Jack Hayford, and Dr. Tony Evans. Prayer ! - as much as we will patiently try, we will not be able to please everyone with what we do. Someone will complain sometime, possibly bitterly. We need grace and wisdom to do what God wants. Faith Promise Partners to commit to monthly support- enabling us to set a budget for phone lines, office space, utilities, secretarial help, staff, promotional materials, computer equipment, office supplies, & etc. Now is the time to get involved and make a difference with Power 88.1 FM. Tell everyone you know that the station is coming on the air in about 1-3 months. We hope sooner!
