About this ministry
Beth & I came to Tehuacan, Mexico in Febuary of 1987. We worked in the mountain villages for 7 years, planting churches in areas where there was previously no Christian witness. During that period we planted 3 churches, training up Mexican nationals to be the leaders, pastors etc... in their villages.
For the past 3 years we've been working in the city of Tehuacan, evangelizing one-on-one thru the teaching of English as well as working alongside a local church, helping out in various areas.
We are not with a mission board per se, but are sent out by our home church, NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP in Encinitas, Ca. U.S.A. NEW LIFE is a member of the FOUR SQUARE GOSPEL denomination. We are a faith supported ministry, currently recieving partial support from 3 churches. The rest, which is currently the majority of our support, comes through individuals who choose to support this ministry.

A LITTLE ABOUT OUR PART OF MEXICO
The following is an excerpt from our Jan. 97' newsletter.
"....As we look back upon the past ten years here, we're amazed at how our city of Tehuacan has changed. When we first came here in early '87 it was a city of about 83,000 people. Now it is about 500,000! In the last couple of years it has become a "maquiladora" (garmet factory) boom town! Companies such as Levis, Guess, Nike, Woolrich etc... are producing their products here jue to the cheap labor (much less here than in the northern Mexico border towns)."
Tehuacan is located in the state of Puebla, and is about 150 miles s.e. of Mexico city, 750 miles south of the southern tip of Texas.
