We are an organisation of The Anglican Church caring for seafarers
worldwide, regardless of their creed or culture. We seek to share our
faith by meeting people where they are, providing spiritual as well
as practical help on their ships. We believe in the sanctity of every
human life and that all people are loved by God. Our faith in practice
means helping seafarers to discover God in their lives, that though
often isolated and forgotten on their ships, they are important and loved
by Him.
In ports around the world we also help in practical ways, support in
cases of exploitation, injustice, loneliness and isolation as part of
The Gospel of Christ to love one another.
Our Seafarers' Centre at Seal Sands (North Tees) provides a home from
home for seafarers. Near their ships in our thriving tanker port it is
a vital oasis for seafarers on Tanker ships. Very far from local life
and cut off from normal living, we provide an accessible place of welcome
and support. International calls home at affordable prices, a welcome by
Christian volunteers, a chance to meet others away from their ships and an
opportunity to relax are all part of our ministry.
