East Range Parishes Youth Ministry is the combined effort of Holy Rosary Parish, Aurora, MN and Queen of Peace Parish, Hoyt Lakes, MN. We are located on the Iron Range. We provide youth ministry programs for grades 7-12. Currently these include, but are not limited to - monthly movie nights, a monthly youth mass, a new Monthly Newsletter and various other activities.
We also run a Youth Center which is located in the city of Aurora. The Youth Center is opened Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights from 7:30-9:30pm to any youth in the area. We do have an application that must be filled out with the agreement to follow the rules set forth by the Youth Center. "The Holy Rosary Youth Center is an outreach to the youth of Aurora, Hoyt Lakes and surrounding communities. It is the purpose of the Youth Center to provide a safe, comfortable, suprevised environment where young persons can be themselves, experience positive role models, and learn positive values based on authentic Christian principles. The Youth Center is a refuge from the many negative values evident in today's society. It is a place where young people are helped to critically evaluate their own personal issues, and to find positive solutions. The Youth Center reqiures mutual respect from its patrons and staff, reserving the right to refuse entry to anyone who demonstrates that they do not support the Mission and Purpose of the Youth Center. The Youth Center cooperates with businesses, schools, churches, civic and law enforcement agencies in carrying out its mission." In the past the Youth Center has hosted special events, such as, dances, Pumpkin Fest Cake Walk, 30-Hour Famine, Movie Nights and many more activities. All of the ideas come from and are planned by the youth. A Youth INC Board was formed by the youth to support the Youth Center with ideas and activities. Youth INC meets every Friday after school at 3:00pm. If you have ideas or would like to be a part of Youth INC, please stop by.
