Spiritual Awakening

Good day. I behold the Christ in you. My name is Minister Kenric T. Brooks, thank you for inviting me to worship with you.
Turn into your bible's to 2 Cor. 5:18. It reads "In all things are of GOD, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation." Now let us take a look at the word reconciliation. Reconciliation according to webster means atonement, to harmonize, to bring back friendship. Simply put, making amends with GOD. Everyone hug yourself and say with me, "GOD loves me and I am forgiven." According to 1 Cor. 3:16, your body is the temple(or house), of GOD. So the first thing that we need to do, as a body of Christ, is reconcile with our body for any worring or stress we may put on our bodies, because our bodies are of GOD.
Second, when you are making amends with GOD you are excepting GODS' word to be evident in your life; you are surrendering to GOD and getting your life and mind back in order. It is like making a contact with GOD and when you have a contract with GOD, as the body of GOD, you are giving up your old ways, your old way of thinking, your old way of being. What I'm saying you give up the excessive drinking, adultery, critizing yourself, your giving up fear for faith, anger for peace, hate for love, confussion for understanding. Your life now becomes being instead of living.
Turn to Romans 6:4. "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." When you honor your contract by giving up your way of being, GOD will restore your being to spirit and your life will be made new. Your life now has more purpose than ever before. Why? Now you are living for GOD.
Everyone close your eyes for a moment, remove everything from your laps. The Lord said, "Be still, and know that I am GOD..." Imagine for a moment you have this beautiful, green plant. This plant has the potential to grown as far as the eye can see. It can produce fruit sweater than you have ever tasted. Over the years this plant got contaminated by the environment. The storms came along breaking it's vines; polution from the water got into there system and many weeds start growing around them take the life and strength out of it. One day the plant, withered and torn said, "Hey, I can't grow anymore, I might as well wither and die." Visualize with me, at that moment a spirit coming to him with a warm and gentle heart and a soft voice and said, "Dear plant in the garden of many, you have forsaken me, but if you come back to me I will give you shelter in the time of the storm, I will remove the withered leaves and get rid of all the weeds around you and plant you on good soil, so that you may take root and produce fruit in my name."
Still with your eyes closed think about the situations with your finance, your job, your marriage; think about the things you put in your mind, your bodies. The drugs, the alcohol, fear, anger, the confussion, the things you listen to on the radio, in your home. Think about the people you hang with day to day. Think, are these things, these people, for the greatest good and joy of your being? If not, this is YOUR TIME to make amends with GOD. Reconcile with GOD today. He will give you peace in the midst of the storm. When you except his word he will clean out your heart and give you new understanding. As I close, remember: Psalms 51:9&10, "Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O GOD; and renew a right spirit in me." Thank you Father and so it is.
