Sunday Service
1st,3rd,&5th Sundays--Evening Prayer and Sermon; 2nd and 4th Sundays--Holy Communion. Services are in the chapel of Good Samaritan Hospital. Parking is available in the hospital parking garage.(The entrance nearest the ER entrance leads directly to the chapel on the ground floor.) We are a mission of St. John's Anglican Church in Dayton, Ky. which is part of the Anglican Catholic Church. It can be reached at www.anglicancatholic.org. We are also in full communion with the United Episcopal Church of North America(www.united-episcopal.org) and the Anglican Province of Christ the King (www.anglicanpck.org.) These are traditional Anglican churches--all known informally as the Continuing Church. The 1928 BCP and the KJV of the Bible remain our standards of worship and doctrine. Newcomers and inquirers are always welcome.
This week
Sunday, August 17, 2008 is the Thirteenth Sunday after Trinity. The service will be Evening Prayer and Sermon. First Lesson--Deuteronomy 24:10-22; Second Lesson--Luke 10:23-37. Following the service we will continue our discussion group focusing on the Apostle's Creed.
At St. Chad's we emphasize the reverence and beauty of Anglican worship combined with sound Christian doctrine. We advocate fidelity to the Holy Scriptures and the two thousand year old teachings of the Christian Church.
