The fifth (5) son born unto Jeff and Margaret Johnson,November 11,1923 in Sumerton,South Carolina. He along with his family spent their early childhood in Summerton,South Carolina.They worked as share croppers ( partners with another Farmer ) in Summerton,until their older brother,Milligan ventured out and came to Goose Creek,SC.and worked with the Mead family on the Marrington Plantion. Pallel to Biblical story of Joseph sending his brothers back to get the rest of his family. Mr. Mead liked the way Milligan worked and asked him about the rest of his family.Milligan told him he had parents and brothers. Mr. mead asked him to bring the rest of the family to Goose Creek. The family,Jeff and Margaret,parents; and their children; Milligan ( deseased ) Fred ( deseased ) Moses,David,Johnie,and Henry (deseased )loaded their few belongings on the back of an old truck and moved to Goose Creek,South Carolina in 1936...................... Times were difficult even after moving to Goose Creek,SC.,but living in Goose Creek afforded more opportunities than living in Summerton,Sc..The boys attended the public schools in Goose Creek,but because of the distance of the schools from their farm work load,it was very difficult for them to get much schooling. more to come>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
