We are an independent jurisdiction of the one, holy, catholic and apostolic church who utilize three approved liturgies: Saint Gregory's Mass, Saint Tikhon's Mass and the Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom . All these are either liturgies accepted as Orthodox Liturgies or are Orthodox Corrected Liturgies which are approved by our bishops.
We have a number of valid, unbroken successions from the Apostles and maintaiin the threefold ministerial tradition of bishop, priest, and deacon. Our jurisdiction is headed by a Patriarch, assisted by a Council of Bishops. We keep the traditional ORTHODOX and APOSTOLIC faith of the One True Church of Christ.
We hold a common faith as defined in the First Seven Ecumenical Councils. Approved liturgies eliminate the offending "filioque" or "and the Son" in the Nicene Creed contrary to the unanimously accepted form of the Creed by the undivided church, and we add a stronger Epiklesis if needed to western rite liturgies. Our Lord speaking in John's Gospel 15:26 clearly states "the Spirit of truth who proceedeth from the Father, He will testify of me." Therefore we reject the Filioque in the Creed.
We are liturgy-centered in that liturgy and the sacraments are of primary importance and defines our lives. Since we believe in the "True Presence" of Christ in Holy Communion we hold a "closed" communion for members only and those with whom we hold a negotiated inter-communion agreement, or who have been pre-approved by the dispensation of our bishops.
If you desire incardination or ordination please contact our administration. Although we have a study regimen for subjects necessary for ordination we can offer a dispensation or a substitution for mandated studies. To apply contact the central office in New York state. We will be happy to discuss these matters with you in strictest confidence and if necessary advise you about supplemental courses of study.
We use a form of house worship which reduces costs, these maintained and offered by a working priesthood, which affords a more personal common worship. We attempt to practice living faith by abiding by the summary of the Decalogue which Our Lord gave in the two great Commandments -- love and serve God with one's whole heart, mind, and will, -- and love others as ourselves. One then enters an active and living expression of christian life. This results in a more zealous and compassionate faith in serving others.
Christ is the vine, -- we are the branches. We are nourished by Him who loved us. We administer the traditional seven sacraments and participate in the Mystical Body of Christ who is the true Head of our jurisdiction.
