Jesus Commands us to love the Lord our God with ALL of our heart, soul, &
mind with all of our strength & to love our neighbor as yourself.
We at the Pleasant View Church of Christ believe that it ALL comes back to LOVE.
If we LOVE the Lord our God we will obey Jesus & evangelize the lost.
If we LOVE the Lord our God we will help others however & everywhere we can.
This includes the elderly, the shutin, the poor, the oppressed & even the youth
of world. That is why we do what we do when we do what we do. It all comes back
to LOVE.
CHRIST'S LOVE COMPELS US!
Several years ago an 80 year old man spoke to us in Bible College.
He got up that morning at 4:00 a.m. & after a 1 hour drive to the air port he
flew 300 miles to our city. He spoke in our preaching class
for an hour, preached in chapel & flew home before lunch. He drove an hour to
get home, fixed lunch for his bed ridden wife, took a short nap, drove 2 hours
to preach a revival service that night then drove back home. One of the people
in the preaching class asked him where he got the energy to do all of that. He
answered, "I guess I understand what the Apostle Paul meant when he said:
'Christ's LOVE
compels us'. Christ's LOVE PROPELS US & moves us onward to our goal!"
