Saint Phillip AME Church is a congregation of the Seventh Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. We stand in the spiritual tradition of our denomination's founder, Richard Allen. We are engaged in carrying the Good News of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in a way that impacts upon the spiritual, economic, and cultural well being of those whom we serve. We strive daily to give life to the work of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, as expressed in the motto of the church: "God our Father, Christ our Redeemer, Man our Brother." Since 1835, Saint Phillip has been a temple of Christian service in the Southeastern portion of Richland County, south of Columbia, South Carolina.
To reach Saint Phillip from the Columbia area, take Garners Ferry Road towards Sumter, SC, turn right on Highway 601 (McCord's Ferry Road), and stay on that road until you see the church on your left.
Saint Phillip is actively engaged in Christian community service. Our Women's Missionary Society, Sons of Allen, and Young People's Department, and other ministries strive to provide comprehensive service to our community that presents Christ not as an agenda item, but as a priority in life. We offer activities designed to reach those of varying ages and backgrounds and to improve the quality of life of our comgregation and community. We count among our members many leaders in our community, including the Honorable Geraldene Robinson, Mayor of the Town of Eastover.TO REACH THE PASTOR IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, CALL (803) 779-9226.
