Facts About Greater St. Matthew:

* It is the oldest predominantly African American congregation in the city of Lorain, Ohio. Founded in 1905. * It is a member of the Connection African Methodist Episcopal Church, which was the FIRST religious organization in the world founded as a result of racial uinjustice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1787 by The Right Rev. Richard Allen.. * The membership believes that Outreach determines Inreach. Therefore we serve free food baskets to the community once a month on the second Thursday; help to lift the fallen and encourage the down trodden. * Greater St. Matthew is a member of the Third Episcopal District which is led by our Bishop, The Right Rev. Henry Allen Belin Jr., and the North Ohio Annual Conference. * It is a place 'Where Love Conqers All' .

The Official Board and members of Greater St. Matthew join me in thanking God for the priviledge of addressing you through this medium of the world wide web. Our worship and study times are listed above. Please continue to pray for our ministry that it will become all that God wants it to be. Some exciting things are happening at Greater St. Matthew, our church is open and operating ministries atleast six days of each week and we want you to be a part of them. We believe that unless souls are saved nothing is saved, so therefore we are determined, dedicated and directed to go into the highways and biways and compell men, women, boys and girls to make Jesus their choice.
