Church Vision:

Habakkuk 2: 2-4 At Bethel Church, we believe that each member is a part of the ministry of Jesus Christ. Within each of us, God has placed an urge and desire to share the saving Grace of our Lord with the world around us. Our vision is to see the needs of the homeless in Michigan City filled, to have the Gospel of Christ preached in our prisons more than any other message, to witness the demon of violence and hatred being replaced with the spirit of unity and love on the streets of our city, and to see the membership and attendance double in all churches in this city. God has also given us the vision to expand our facilities in order to prepare for the growth He has promised. GREAT IS THE LORD AND WORTHY TO BE PRAISED...GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE!

Church Mission

Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church will make a difference within the Michigan City area, the Nation, and the World by PROCLAIMING THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST to all people, and by being a Haven of Hope to persons who have been discarded and passed over by society. We endeavor to meet the total needs of our community through evangelism, education, stewardship, and outreach. It is the heart of Bethel's membership to assist persons from all walks of life regardless of age, gender, ethnic origin, race, or economic status.
