Background
This church was begun by TEAM missionary John Christiansen in 1929. Through the years El Buen Pastor has been one of the primary evangelical churches in western Venezuela, with many other churches in the region having their roots in her. In recent years a new five story facility has been constructed which houses the church as well as a Christian School, Luz y Libertad. This school is having a positive impact on the large, Andean mountain city of San Cristobal, and has helped the church reach more families with the gospel of Christ.
Historia y enfoque
Esta iglesia fue fundada en el año 1929 con la ayuda del misionero Juan Christiansen. Por los años El Buen Pastor ha sido una de las iglesias principales en todo el teritorio occidental de Venezuela, con muchas otras iglesias trazando sus raices a ella. En los últimos años un nuevo edificio de cinco pisos se ha construido en que se reuine la iglesia y el colegio cristiano " Luz y Libertad". Esta escuela ya ha tenido un impacto positivo en la gran ciudad de San Cristóbal.
