JUST A THOUGHT: A Devotional Series:
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. (Psalm 139:16)
Have you ever stopped to consider that God loves you so much that He planned every day of your life even before you were born?
Some people believe in luck or in fate. They believe that they are simply pawns at the mercy of things beyond their control.
Others work very hard and try to control their world and the people who are near them. The Good News is that there is a better way.
God has promised us,
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Jer 29:11-13 (NIV)
God has made the plans for you to become the very best that you can be. He seeks to prosper you and not to harm you.
He has planned for you to have the best possible future. Does this mean that every individual will always attain their best?
Unfortunately not. The problem, you see, is that God holds out His very best out to us and gives us the choice.
Do we want to follow His plan for us, or do we wish to take a detour.
If you have taken a detour, take heart. God wants to be found by you. Seek Him now and make His way your own.
May God bless you richly as you seek Him with your whole heart.
Our Motto for 1998 is....
"Beyond our doors..."
We believe that God has called us as congregation to look beyond the limits of our building into a world that needs to hear the truth about the love of God. Beyond our doors is a way of reminding ourselves that there is a world "out there" that needs to meet the incredible person of Jesus Christ.
