We are so happy with him. Thanks to everyone who prayed with us for this. There will soon be 100,000+ orphans in Thailand through AIDS. God is the Father of the orphan. I want HIM to father this child through me. I want our child to become an ambassador for God's Kingdom, for Thailand, and for adoption. We want to give this little one a chance at a better life. Above all, we want them to have a chance to know the Savior's love. May our adoption be an inspiration to many more in this land. <br> •Please Pray for Pastor Prasert and Loving Homes Needed. He has resigned his church to give full time to adoption education. <br> •Please Pray for the urgently needed funding to support the project, which starts April 2. <br> •Please Pray for our Crusade team. Bill Hughes is back in the field and wants to rebuild the team and see revival come to this nation of Thailand. <br> <br •Please Pray for Mark & Patti Gatewood who are leading Loving Homes Needed, along with Pastor Prasert. </FONT> <OL><b><FONT COLOR="DD0000">How to Pray for the Struggling Christians:</b><br></FONT> <FONT COLOR="0000FF"><FONT COLOR="FF3366"><LI>Lord, I pray for my brothers and sisters, that they would overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony and that they would not love their lives, but that they would give themselves to you even to the point of death. <br> <LI>I pray that their eyes would be opened to know and understand how much God loves them. <br> <LI>Lord, please cover them with the Blood of Jesus and protect them from evil. <br> <LI>Let all arguments be cast down, help them to walk in the truth and be protected from deception. Let them bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Dr. Somporn who was trained in Alabama, USA, is a dedicated Christian. She offered to give her Sunday afternoons if we opened a clinic at the church. About 250 patients are on register and receive loving help and very inexpensive medicines. </font size></P> <BR> <IMG src="/art/anim/bars/colorbar.gif"alt=""> <BR> <center><IMG src="/art/anim/bars/libunt.gif"alt=""></center> <P ALIGN=Left><EM><font size=1>A little about our church...</EM></font size> <BR><BR> <font size=1><B><FONT COLOR="FD3097">Bang Rong Po</B><FONT COLOR="FD3097"> is a small fishing village located 10 minutes north of the resort city of Pattaya. In 1988 the crusade team, in between crusades, started evangelizing our small village one-on-one. We could not find one Christian in the area. <BR><BR> It was slow going. First we invited neighbors to a home meeting. Later we rented a small shop and turned it into a Friday night "preaching point". Children's meetings brought over 200 children into our yard, but the adults were cautious and slow to come near us. After a year, a large store front was rented in the market out on the highway, and Sunday meetings were inaugurated. Many came and went, but few "stuck". Finally, with 10 members, we were an official church and joined the Evangelical Fellowship of Thailand. <BR><BR> Many difficult struggles, heartbreaks, and spiritual attacks came along. One Thai city pastor recently commented that if he spends an hour with a city member, a village pastor must spend 4 hours with his village member. Thousands of hours of visitation and counselling were needed to stabilize the new believers and bring them through. A big issue for them was coming to church every Sunday. Our church's theme verse is Matt 6:33 "Seek ye first": getting priorities into our lives. One of our team members, Thamanoon Srinuol, was called by God to become the pastor of the new church. <BR> <BR> By God's abundant grace we were able to raise over $100,000 to purchase land and we built a facility capable of holding 300. Presently 129 are on the active roll. Outside funds were necessary for the first 7 years in order to establish and maintain the church. As of January 1, 1996, the church became self supporting. We praise God for His help and growth in the people. We are in process of finishing the outside of the buildings, and soon hope to erect a 90 foot "lighthouse" tower with a cross on the top that will be a landmark near the highway. <BR> <BR> Now the area is building up quickly. Also, many foreign companies are opening plants nearby. Many foreign families are moving into the area to work.
