Ultimately, they desired to organize a Methodist church and bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the western part of Concord.</B><P><B>1907 - The Methodist Conference sent Dr. & Mrs. W.C. Huston to help officially organize the Westford Methodist Church.</B><P><B>1908 - Land was donated on Office Dr. by Hartsell Mill and a white frame, wooden building was constructed. Rev. W.C. Jones was the first appointed pastor.</B><P><B>1941 - The original building was torn down and a new building was constructed by the men of the church with completion on April 4, 1943.</B><P><B>1951 - A separate Fellowship Hall was built next to the church. This was the first building to be built with borrowed money.
