About two dozen parishioners joined with up to 6,000 other Christians from all over Southwark Diocese to celebrate the work of the Anglican diocese of Southwark. The "high-point" was a celebration of mass and sermon given by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Many other events were held at the Agricultural Showground in Ardingly, including music workshops and barbecues. A good time was had by all who attended.Diocesan Celebration Day at Ardingly, 14th June

The church has a small 3 manual organ with about 40 stops and an equally small, but enthusiastic, choir that numbers about a dozen on a good day. The choir sings the eucharist each Sunday at 10.00am, plus festival services at Ascension, Candlemass and various other major festivals.
The usual hymn-book is Hymns Ancient and Modern New Standard, which is supplemented with hymns from a collection of choruses prepared by a previous curate and called Hymns for Holy Saviour, and other hymns that are printed out on weekly service sheets as required.
The choir rehearses each Friday at the church at 8.00pm, currently led by two senior choir members, and strives to perform at least one short anthem each month. The church pays the rate recommended from time to time by the Royal College of Organists.

Please join us as we pray for all those who work for the preservation of world peace. We pray for leaders of all nations and for those who represent their country in the United Nations Organisation.
He did not say you will not have a rough time, you will not be burdened, you will not have to face difficulties. He said you will not be overcome. God wants us to pay attention to these words so that we can always be strong and confident, through good and bad times.
