The Rea Avenue Reformed Church was organized under Classis in 1894 as a body of "Christ centered and Bible believing" Christians. The name taken at the time was the First Reformed Church of North Paterson, reflecting our origin in the North Paterson Railroad Station. We have recently celebrated our Centennial! As a hundred years of church life has been filled with worship services and meetings where God has met with his people, you are still invited to experience the presence of God as you participate in your church.
We are part of the REFORMED CHURCH IN AMERICA and a member of the Classis of Passaic Valley and the Regional Synod of the Mid-Atlantics. We express our unity in the Body of Christ as the Holy Spirit leads us in ecumenical worship with the churches of Hawthorne, and in participation with others who confess "that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father!"
