WORDS FROM THE PASTOR:IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY FATHER
DEACON WILLIAM ANDERSON
"SWEET HOME"
REV.21:2-4: AND I JOHN SAW THE HOLY CITY, NEW JERUSALEM, COMING DOWN FROM GOD OUT OF HEAVEN, PREPARED AS A BRIDE ADORNED FOR HER HUSBAND. AND I HEARD A GREAT VOICE OUT OF HEAVEN SAYING, BEHOLD, THE TABERNACLE OF GOD IS WITH MEN, AND HE WILL DWELL WITH THEM, AND THEY SHALL BE HIS PEOPLE, AND GOD HIMSELF SHALL BE WITH THEM, AND BE THEIR GOD. AND SHALL WIPE AWAY ALL TEARS FROM THEIR EYES; AND THERE SHALL BE NO MORE DEATH, NEITHER SORROW, NOR CRYING, NEITHER SHALL THERE BE ANY MORE PAIN: FOR THE FORMER THINGS ARE PASSED A WAY

AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF SUPERINTENDENT L. ANDERSON
Superintendent Larry Anderson was born June 23, 1953 to the parents of William and Jennie Anderson. His mother told him that he was not breathing when he was born. She prayed to God and asked him to spare her son's life. God answered her prayer and put breath into his body. His father taught him that if you wanted something in life, work hard for it. He always told him, "you don't know what you can do until you try it." Superintendent Anderson's mother taught him and all of her children to live for Christ. These teachings of his parents stayed with him through the years, and are very important guidelines for him today.
Superintendent Anderson attended Burrell Slater High School until 1969. He was a member of the high school band and played the clarinet. In 1969, he attended and graduated from Coffee High School. God has blessed this union with three children, Vanesha (6th - 9th Science Teacher at Cloverdale Jr. High), Angela (UNA), Timothy (Bradshaw). Mrs. Anderson is employed by Parisian Department Store. She is the Assistant Store Manager and Personnel Director. Mrs. Etta Anderson is a very loving and devoted wife, mother, and career woman.

Under the leadership of Superintendent Morrow, he received his Minister's License. Superintendent Morrow recommended him to the Church of God in Christ Ordination Examining Board. After passing the Examining Board, he became an ordained Elder of the Church of God in Christ in August 1982.
