St Patrick's Junior Choir was started on May 16th 1992. It contains Children between the ages of 6 and 17 years. At present there are 12 members in the Choir. The Choir was formed to keep the young people actively involved in the work of the St Patrick's Church and to recruit persons for the Senior Choir

The choir rehearses every Saturday from 3:30 to 5:00pm. They participate in the Service on the final Sunday of each month, and lead the singing during the month of August. They have also presented an Advent Carol Service bi-annually for the past five years. They have assisted in OLIVET TO CALVARY, and this exposure to a new form of music was very well received. They look forward to future programmes with the Barbados United Choral Society, which is under the baton of Mr. Oliver Cox, and accompanied by Mr. M. Andrew Allman.
In 1999 they are hoping to perform, "Stainers' Crucifixion".
The Choir members raise funds to buy music and for camps by having car washes, jumble sales and cake sales. During the Easter holiday of 1995 they were able to attend a Choir Retreat at a local Retreat Centre. They are at present trying to raise funds for a Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale, in November of 1999.
They have made performances on Rediffusion Barbados Ltd, one of our Radio Stations and the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation, our Television station. They have also performed at the Tree Lighting Ceremony in Oistins, one of our towns on two consecutive occasions during the Christmas season. In December of 1996 they performed at one of our local hotels, spreading the joy of Christmas .
The Choir is seeking to broaden its repertoire to include Contemporary Music, since there seems to be the trend to include this type of music in our worship, throughout the Diocese. The youth need to be aware of the wide variety of music at our fingertips. We are also in the process of revitalising our Recorder Group and resuming Music Theory Classes.
