Come and worship and praise the Lord in a church that forges intellectualism and pentecostalism. We believe in the rational, yet awe inspiring power of the Holy Ghost. If you do not worship with us then we both loose. We'll miss your presence and you'll miss the Holy Ghost. We are exited about miracles, signs and wonders that we experience in every worship service. Our pastor, who was educated at some of the greatest colleges and universities of America ,is a South African native and brings a rich and diverse perspective to THE GREATER ST. JAMES AME CHURCH. Every one is welcome to worship the Lord with us regardless of your race, color, creed, national origin, or socio-economic status.St.James is led by its motto,"GOD OUR FATHER, CHRIST OUR REDEEMER AND MAN OUR BROTHER" The church that is unashamedly African, methodically Methodist yet charismatic and evangelistic in its praise and worship.
The Commission on Missions and Welfare is the official arm of Greater St.James that ministers to those in need.
