Praise the Lord! Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ. Refuge Temple is an apostolic/pentecostal church affiliated with the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith. We are a young, multicultural church, located in the heart of Burlington, NC. We welcome any one who wishes to worship God in spirit and in truth. Please feel free to join in any of our services. Members of our church family come from fourteen different cities in Piedmont North Carolina and southern Virginia. Home Cell Bible Studies are held in many of these cities on Wednesdays. History
The Refuge Temple Church was founded by Bishop Rufus Hargrove in 1995. From our very beginning we have been a blessed ministry. Our only home has been a 17,000 square foot church facility which contains a contains a sanctuary seating over 300 people, an annex chapel, fellow- ship hall, and over eleven classrooms and offices in downtown Burlington. We were blessed to purchase this facility in August of 1996. Our church began with eight charter members and over the last three years we have grown to include worshippers coming from over nine different cities. In August of 1996, Elder Reginald J. Davis was appointed pastor of this young ministry. Under his leadership our church has continued to grow spiritually, numerically and naturally. We know that God has destined this ministry to bless this region and the body of Christ.
