Welcome to Praise Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church! By God's grace, Praise Temple celebrates 16 years ministering the gospel in 2002. Our goal is to spread the gospel, meet the needs of God's people, and generate the manifestation of salvation through Christ Jesus. We are located in the heart of Columbus, where our doors are opened for fellowship and seeking God. 17 years ago, God used Rev. Matthew E. Moss, Sr., to plant the seed of this ministry at 1297 Atcheson Ave. Today, God continues to bless this church through the preaching and teaching of Rev. Tersa L. Leigh. Ours is a ministry of praise and prayer, of hope and helps, of deliverance and victory. We invite you to join us, in service and in prayer, at all times. May God Bless and keep you.
Our Theme:
Our ministry is based on the scripture founded in 2 Chronicles 7:14. "If my people,which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." This scripture is dynamic, and reminds of some things, including these: We are God's people, called by His name. Nobody else called us out of sin and sickness, nor had the power, but we have been called out of death even unto eternal life. We have to maintain the characteristic of humility - not humiliation, praying without ceasing, in constant commune with God, seeking not just his material blessings, but His face. Seeking Him to find out what direction to go in, how to live for Him. And then, this is an important one, we must constantly turn away from those things that are not of God. We have to pray first, for the strength and the power, the annointing, if you will, then we must turn away from those things that are unjust and unGodly. When we have done these things, that is when God will hear from heaven and heal our bodies, heal our hearts, heal our homes, heal our churches, heal our neighborhoods, heal our communities, heal our cities, our states, our nation. Saints, we have yet but a while in this world - but we have eternity with Christ. Stay blessed.
