Welcome to St. George's Cathedral Church

St. George's is the Cathedral parish For the Diocese of South Carolina and the Archdiocese of the Armed Forces for the Charismatic Episcopal Church. The Charismatic Episcopal Church is a world wide communion with over 1,000 churches and missions. The Patriarch for the Charismatic Episcopal Church is the Most Rev. Randolph Adler, St. Michael's Cathedral in San Clemente, CA. The Charismatic Episcopal Church follows the rites in the Book of Common Prayer; celebrates Holy Communion every Sunday; embodies the three streams of Christianity - Charismatic, Sacramental and Evangelical. The Sunday service combines the beauty of the liturgy with an openness to the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and sound, biblical preaching. The music is a combination of the ancient hymns of the Church and contemporary, upbeat choruses. St. Michael's Seminary, San Clemente, CA offers their courses in the extension seminary that meets at St. George's. Fr. Frank Watts serves as the local Dean for Spartanburg. Courses may be taken for the Master of Ministry or Licentiate in Theology diploma. Classes are open to anyone. Spartanburg Christian Center for the Arts offers programs and classes on the visual and performing arts. Pamela Ann Woodall is the director of the Center. Mom's With Young Children is a weekly get together for Mom's and their children. Everyone meets at Barnes and Noble's Bookstore for fellowship and then goes out to lunch together. If you are looking for a church that is rooted in the ancient while reaching for the future, we invite you to come and experience the worship. I believe you will see why the Charismatic Episcopal Church is one of the fastest growing churches in the world!
