We at RIVER Ministries Inc. want to welcome you to our new web presence page. Feel free to look around and find out about what Holy Spirit is doing here in Southeastern Illinois. 

Who We Are

We are a non denominational Ministry founded by our lead Pastors Joseph and Carolyn Dutton in 2010 to be a place of Prayer Healing and Outreach. We operate from The RIVER Center* located 7 miles north of Elizabethtown IL on Bassett Blacktop in the middle of The Shawnee National Forest. From The RIVER Center we host:

RIVER House of Prayer- The Prayer Stream of our Ministry. We host weekly "Harp and Bowl" events that focus on bringing Prayer and Worship before the Throne of Heaven. RHOP serves to empower those attending these meetings to Flow in the presence of Holy Spirit and see their lives enriched and empowered through the Prayer, Worship and Teaching during our "Harp and Bowl" events. 

New Creation Outreach-The Outreach Stream of our Ministry. We host several community outreaches each year going out to offer Ministry through the 5 fold and Gifts of Holy Spirit to those in need we encounter. Our "signature" outreach is one called The Water Outreach. During these exciting events we offer bottles of water to those hiking ,in the Shawnee National Forest, or other areas around the Nation as lead by Holy Spirit,  and use it as a doorway to Minister into their lives through prayer, laying on of hands, and the Power Gifts of Holy Spirit seeing lives brought into the knowledge of the Giver of Living Water.

RIVER Food Pantry- The Stream of our Ministry that provides basic essential food-stuff in emergent situations to those who have a need without question. Twice a year in partnership with our Sister Ministry "House of Freedom Worship Center/LPPC Inc." we provide Holiday Food baskets so that those in need can have a blessed Holiday without worry of how they will provide the meal for themselves and their families.

* The RIVER Center, located 4 miles from one of the most famous tourists sites in Southeast Illinois known as The Garden of Gods a popular day hiking area, is also available for like minded groups to utilize for an evening, day, weekend or week for Retreats in the heart of the "Garden of Gods" area. The RIVER Center is central to several area tourist sites with many lodging cabins located with a 10 mile radius. (Contact us for information regarding booking this rustic yet adequate facility for a minimal fee that helps defray the cost of water and electricity)
