Statement of Faith
We believe in all the fundamental doctrines of evangelical Christianity.
We believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, that the Bible, Old and New Testaments
are the inspired, infallible Word of God.
We believe God exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that God the Father is the personal, transcendent, and sovereign
Creator of all things.
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully Human, that He was born of a
virgin, lived a sinless life, atoned for our sins by His victorious death on the
cross, was bodily resurrected by the power of the Holy Spirit, ascended back to
the right hand of the Father, and ever lives to make intercession for us.
We believe that after Jesus ascended to Heaven, He poured out His Holy Spirit on
the believers in Jerusalem, enabling them to fulfill His command to preach the
Gospel to the entire world, an obligation shared by all believers today.
We believe that all people are by nature separated from God and responsible for
their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely
offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, When a person repents of
sin and accepts Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord that person is
immediately born anew, sealed by the Holy Spirit, forgiven of all their sins and
becomes a child of God destined to spend eternity with the Lord.
We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in Scripture and that they
are valid today if they are exercised within scriptural guidelines. We as
believers are to covet the best gifts, seeking to exercise them in love that the
whole Body of Christ might be edified. We believe that love is more important
than the most spectacular gifts, and without love all exercise of spiritual
gifts is worthless.
We believe in the rapture of the church and in the second coming of Christ with
His saints to rule on the Earth. It will be personal and visible.
We believe in the resurrection of the body unto eternal life for the saved and
unto eternal punishment for the lost.
"Eye had not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of men,
the things which God has prepared for them who love Him."
Dear One in Christ
Greetings in Jesus' name!
While living in this world, the greatness of being part of the Body of Christ is
that we are all birds of passage but destined to eternity. We are hare today,
gone tomorrow. In the brief time that God entrusted us with responsibilities,
and how joyful it is when we are busy in the discharge of these
responsibilities. Thus I believe that wherever the Lord has kept you, you are
doing well. And this is a great pleasure for us to write you from a least
evangelized people group named Bengali.
* Which language do we work with?
We are mainly concentrating on winning the Bengalis (My own people group) and
bring them into the fold of our Lord. And we speak in Bengali Language. Bellow
is the brief description of our Language group people:
There are 81 million Bengalis located in the state of West Bengal, India
comprising with some 39,000 villages. The Bengali people are identified
primarily by a common language - Bengali. They originated in the Chittagong Hill
tracts of Bangladesh (formerly East Pakistan), but they have migrated over time.
A significant number have immigrated into present day India and live in the
states of Assam, West Bengal, Tripura and Arunnachal Pradesh.
The Bengali, who are both Muslim and Hindu, are the fourth largest unreached
people group in the world, with a population over 200 million. The state of West
Bengal has over 81 million. They have a traditional resistance to the Gospel
with less than 1/10th of 1% believers.
The first known religion of the Bengali was Animism, sometimes called "tribal"
religion. Animists believe that the spirits of the gods live inside the
mountains, the rivers, and the forests. As a result, many objects in nature are
worshiped. The Bengali's tribal religion also included the worship of a variety
of village and household gods and the belief in life after death.
In time, the Bengali tribes became "Hinduized", incorporating both the Hindu
caste system and the worship of millions of Hindu gods practiced by their
neighbor, India, into their ethnic religion. In the twelfth century, Muslim
invaders began conquering the Hindu regions of Bangladesh. For the next four
hundred years, those Bengali unwilling to convert to Islam took refuge in the
hills. As a result, the Bengalis were split into two people groups - the Bengali
Hindus and the Bengali Muslims. Eventually, the Bengali Hindus were able to
return and settle in the adjoining plains, where many continue to live today
* What KMM (Kristalaya Mercy Mission) is doing among the Bengalis?
God is touching the hearts of the Bengalis in West Bengal, India today, as you
know that the Bengalis are the biggest unreached ethnic people group in the
world. Dr. William Carrey, the father of Modern Mission, who first brought Good
News by translating the Bible into local language, to the Millions of Bengalis
in the state of West Bengal, Tripura and of Bangladesh, but still the Bengalis
are the biggest unreached ethnic group in the world and never heard the message
of hope and forgiveness that only Christ Jesus can bring for them. Kristalaya
Mercy Mission is a budding, registered mission agency committed to share the
gospel of Christ and bringing hope to the un-reached and disadvantaged people of
West Bengal, India. Even though we have started recently, but by God's grace,
currently 23 house churches and mission stations have been planted by Kristalaya
Mercy Mission self supported church planters where no church existed before.
Moreover, Kristalaya Mercy Mission faithfully involved in Holistic ministries in
remote, un-reached villages through which many are influenced by the love of our
Lord Jesus in action and coming to saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus every
month. We have witnessed that the fields are truly ripen for the harvest, just
as the Lord has said.
* Seeking Partners within the Body of Christ:
You can be a part of this great task! We are absolutely committed to preaching
the Gospel through evangelism, holistic Ministries, church planting, leadership
training and reaching out to love our neighbor through medical, social and
relief efforts. We also strive to give partial support to the workers (as much
as we can) and equip them with the necessary tools, helping them establish
churches. It is our prayerful desire to see the move of God sweep in every
village and cities wherever the Bengalis are living. Your partnership in
prayers, advices and active supports are crucial to the ministry of Kristalaya
Mercy Mission. We invite you to consider partnering and being a coworker with us
to see the Bengali people group won for Jesus.
What a change when we come to the place in our life when we put Jesus in the
center--when we can honestly say, "Lord, for thy sake I am glad to do all that
pleases you." Our priority must not be our own joy and happiness, but God's
will, His name, His cause. Doing anything we do for His sake makes all the
difference in the world. Then, without seeking it, the joy and happiness follow.
It is well to ask ourselves, "Why am I doing what I do. And why am I not doing
some things I know need to be done? Why is there no joy in my heart and I feel
empty, even doing good?" The answer could very well be this: our good works are
no longer being done for His sake, but for our own pleasure. It is possible, as
Watchman Nee once suggested, to be serving the house of God and to have
forgotten the Lord who is Master of the house. "For me to live is Christ," wrote
the Apostle Paul. He said he did all things; "For Thy Sake." May we this
day--and always--live to do all things for His.
Please remember us in your prayers. If you have any enquiry please feel free to
send me an email. Moreover, I am looking forward for your advice and suggestion
which will enable us to expand His Kingdom among our Bengali people.
May the good Lord bless you and may you also know that He loves you beyond
measure.
Thanking you with anticipation.
With regards
Your brother in Christ
