Statement of faith
The Bible itself is our all-sufficient rule for faith and doctrine, life and practice. Therefore, the following statement of truth is not intended to be exhaustive. As a fellowship, we may individually hold other doctrines as vital to the Christian life. And although not specifically stated herein, they likewise are true, and may be used to govern our actions, and influence our decisions in matters of church discipline, and doctrine. The following therefore, must be viewed as an affirmation of our most fundamental beliefs, and an expression of our common faith.
1) We believe in the plenary, verbal inspiration of the accepted canon of the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, also known as, The Holy Bible. In its original autograph it is infallible, and in its entirety it is divinely inspired, and the only absolute and complete rule of faith and conduct for all who would be saved. (cf 2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:13).
2) We believe in the eternally-existing and divine Godhead who has revealed Himself as ONE God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Distinguishable, yet indivisible Creator of all that exists (cf Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13-14).
3) We believe in the perfect creation and ultimate fall of man through sin, as recorded in Genesis. This includes man's total and complete inability to attain to divine righteousness apart from the grace of God, and His plan of redemption for man through Jesus Christ. (cf Romans 5:12,18).
4) We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only, eternally begotten Son of God, the Savior of man, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, was truly God yet truly Man, died an actual, literal, and physical death on the cross of Calvary, and was buried. He was resurrected by the power of God, and ascended into Heaven where He is now seated at the right hand of the Almighty - God. (cf Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14; 9:16).
5) We believe Jesus Christ died for our sins; that He was buried and rose again from the grave on the third day with a physical body of flesh and bone, and that He personally and physically appeared to his disciples in that form. (cf 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 4:25).
6) We believe in the actual, literal, physical ascension of Jesus into heaven, His exaltation, and His personal, literal and physical return (or "second coming") for His bride, the Church (cf John 14:21-23; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
7) We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace alone, through faith in the perfect, sufficient and complete work of Christ on the cross of Calvary, and that through repentance, and by faith in His work, we obtain remission of sins and the gift of eternal life (cf Ephesians 2:6-9; Hebrews 9:12; Romans 5:11).
8) We believe in water baptism by immersion in obedience to the command of Christ, in order to identify with His death, burial and resurrection. It is an outward act, representing an inward work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the true believer (cf Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:34-36; 19:1-6).
9) We believe in the baptism (or infilling) of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to the new birth, which is accompanied by scriptural evidence (cf Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 10:44-46; 1 Corinthians 12-14, Galatians 3:14-15).
10) We believe in the existence and operation of all the gifts of the Spirit, just as they were manifest in the early church. We believe they are for today, and have been given to enable the people of God to do the full work of the ministry (cf 1 Corinthians 12-14; Ephesians 4).
11) We believe in the Spirit-filled life. By sanctification through the Word of God, and by the work of the Holy Spirit, believers are able to live a life of separation from the world, and of personal holiness of heart toward God (cf Ephesians 5:18; II Corinthians 6:14-7:1).
12) We believe in the actual, literal, and physical resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment, where unbelievers will be committed to eternal damnation and punishment, and believers to eternal life in the presence of God (cf Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10-15; Mark 9:43-58; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15; John 5:24; 3:16).
13) We believe in intensive world-evangelization and missionary work in obedience to the Great Commission of Christ, with miraculous signs and wonders following the believers, confirming the Word as was recorded in the Book of Acts. (cf Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:15-20)
