HISTORY
Sons of Promise Ministries was founded on September 6, 2001 through the vision of Minister Marvis Hood. Initially the ministry was founded as a testimonial men's fellowship for men between the ages of 21-40. However, as God's vision for the ministry evolved, the work of the ministry grew to include areas, of outreach, biblical teaching, spiritual renewal as well as Christian service. The ministry's purpose would now include ALL men of God, regardless of age. And the purpose of the ministry would now be to teach, discipleship, service, and redemption.
MISSION
SPM is dedicated to the belief that the Bible is the ABSOLUTE WORD OF GOD!!!!! We also believe that what God creates first is meant to be the foundation of things to come. When God created Man, it was HIS intent that Man would be the building block for all future creations in God's world (Genesis 2:4-7). Teaching God's order for the Body of Christ first must start with restoring Man to his intended position in God's kingdom. Only afterMan has realized his God ordained postion as the "head" of home, family, nation, and community, will the Bo=dy of Christ be FULLY glorified. SPM strives to break the cycle of lies and deceit perpetrated by the enemy that has caused Man to be hindered from reclaiming his inheritance and identity given him by Almighty God (Galatians 6:1-2).
