This ministry was birth from seeing how traditions of men have left children of God bound and suffering from man's control. Inspired by God, we have been mandated to teach the truth of the gospel as it is written and as God has intended it to be.
Elder Michael David Garrett in a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. It was here were Elder Garrett was raised in the church and given a foundation based on prayer. Being raised in the church, he had a profound understanding of the scriptures as child. As a young man in the church Elder Garrett led church devotions at various times while attending Light of the World Christian Church. After graduating from High School and entering the Navy, Elder Garrett was called into the ministry. It was in 1992 that he was led of the Lord to join Christ Church Apostolic were the Pastor is Bishop James E. Tyson. Michael was vary active in the church being involved with the youth, choir and praise team. Elder Garrett is a worshipper and a praiser. He has been apart of the Indiana State Mass Choir, and Dr. Leonard Scott and the Garment of Praise. He later became the Central District Chairman of the Apostolic Bible Students Association of Indiana. It was while serving at Christ Church that God birth in him True Light Ministries. Elder Garrett is married with five wonderful children. He currently is a member of New Beginning Ministries were the Pastor is the Elder J. Laverne Tyson. He serves as the Youth Pastor in his assembly and a worship leader.
