Good Samaritan Ministries is a Lutheran Evangelical Protestant Church / Evangelical Protestant Church Christian chartered ministry founded for the purpose of helping the poor by providing both spiritual and physical assistance to those in need. Bible study and special services are also provided. A special bible study is held each week at the Johnny Robinson's Boys Home located in Monroe, Louisiana. This is a special youth home for troubled boys that was established in 1980 by former LSU great and Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame member, Johnny Robinson(60'-72'). Good Samaritan Ministries is a Christ-centered ministry based on love. There is a great need to bring the Good News of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ to a lost world. Part of proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom of our Risen Lord is to demonstrate the love of Jesus to each person we meet and to feed the hungry and clothe those who need help. Jesus was asked, "Lord, When did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?" When did we see you as a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?" When did we see you sick or in prison and go visit you?" And the Lord answered them by saying, "Each time that you did anything for the least one of these, you did it for me". God's healing and transforming love were demonstrated through Jesus' life. Jesus healed people physically ; however, his overriding message was always spiritual healing. I believe that God still miraculously heals people of illness, disease and other problems; however, the day-to-day spiritual healing work within our lives is God's interaction with those that have a personal relationship with him. As our relationship with God grows we will experience higher and higher levels of the Holy Spirit's presence, which heals us and brings the healthy characteristics of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness and temperance.
