The Way Station, Inc. is a faith-based, not for profit organization. We service the needy and disadvantaged of rural, Appalachian, Columbiana County. We have two offices in East Liverpool. Our service office is located on St. Clair Avenue provides food, clothing and financial assistance to those in need. Our Labor `n Love service activities are located in the City's East side, the poorest community of the city.
The Way Station has partnered with the City of East Liverpool to identify homes that can be salvaged with loving care from groups such as yours. What a ministry to the families you are helping and a witness to the neighbors in the community!
Here is the information that you need in order to make a decision to participate in The Way Station's Labor `n Love Program:
The Way Station provides a house for use by teams coming to serve. The house is located in the neighborhood where service will be conducted. The neighbors are quite friendly - the children love visitors!!
The house has 4 bedrooms, furnished with fans and can sleep a maximum of 22 people.
The Kitchen is furnished with cooking utensils, dishes, silverware, mixer, microwave, toaster, stove, refrigerator and freezer. The basement contains a washer and dryer.
There is a dining room and sitting/gathering room for social activities as well as two bathrooms (1 shower).
Groups must provide sleeping bags and pillows.
A supply of food will be delivered to the house prior to your arrival. The Way Station will provide basic foods for breakfast and lunches. Local churches will provide evening meals. Paper products will also be provided.
Cost: Program Work Camp Length of Stay 1 week Administrative Fee $300.00 Program & Facility Fees per Person $125.00 per personWork Camp Weekend Administrative Fee $75.00 Work Camp Program & Facility Fees $20 (per person per night) A Work Camp Fee includes all materials for projects. Administrative Fee is non-refundable; however, it may be transferred to another date. Dates are reserved upon receipt of application and administrative fee.
