To work towards the reunification of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church by providing a solid union of jurisdictions which are based in Apostolic Succession and the first seven Ecumenical Councils.
To foster Communion and Intercommunion between these bodies and to establish relations with other Churches both East and West.
Apostolic Succession is the central point of theological continuity in the One Church founded by Jesus Christ. He gave His authority to the Twelve who, by prayer and teh laying on of hands, passed that authority to their successors who in turn passed it on in unbroken line to the Bishops of today.
This succession has to be documented and verified for a Bishop to be eligible for membership of the Federation.
The federation will also provide an historical record and assist with documentation to support member jurisdictions in their claims of Apostolic Succession.
