The Dominicans were founded in 1216 for the purpose of preaching the word of God for the salvation of souls.
The Dominican Family comprises four branches: Friars, Nuns, Sisters and Laity. Dominicans depend on active community life, regular prayer and dialogue for a more effective preaching ministry.
