WHAT IS ROYAL RANGERS ?

Royal Rangers is a national program to meet the physical, spiritual, mental and social needs of boys and young men ages five through 17. The ultimate goal is to help boys recognize and assume their place of leadership as responsible followers of Jesus Christ. Our motto is to reach, teach and keep boys for Christ. We recognize that the boys we reach today will be the leaders of tomorrow! The ministry reaches across the United States and in over 63 nations around the world. It motivates boys spiritually through Bible study and memorization, devotionals, and Christian role models. The boys are strengthened mentally by an advanced awards-based weekly program. Further the boys increase their physical prowess by participation in age-specific activities and recreation. Finally, they are introduced to church, community, and nature-related activities to develop their social skills and awareness. Dedicated leaders, called commanders, provide boys the necessary direction during a weekly outpost meeting. The meetings are designed to develop the total boy for Christ and offer love and understanding between the boy and a godly role model. !

The Royal Rangers Emblem

The Royal Rangers emblem resembles a compass, but in reality it is designed with a special significance.

NOTE: The Royal Rangers emblem is a registered trademark of the General Council of the Assemblies of God and cannot be used without express permission from the national Royal Rangers office.

The Royal Rangers Motto

"READY"

Meaning of the Motto: Ready for anything! Ready to work, play, serve, obey, worship, live, etc.

The Royal Rangers Pledge

The pledge is considered the central theme to the Royal Rangers program. It will direct the boy to show the love of Jesus Christ in everything he encounters on daily basis: "With God's help, I will do my best to serve God, my church and my fellow man; to live by the Ranger Code; to make the Golden Rule* my daily rule."

*The Golden Rule: "In everything, do to others what you would have them do to you" (Matthew 7:12)
