1 John 3:1, "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called the Children of God. And that is what we are!" Workshops A Hospitality Ministry That Makes a Difference: Blessed Be the Pie (or Lasagna) That Binds. Hospitality is a ministry that when nurtured and developed, offers -connection to other believers; - a bridge for non-believers; - a welcome to believers new to the community; - mentoring opportunities; - development of deep, ongoing friendships; - opportunities for our children to learn how to be hospitable as well. Workshop will share facets of hospitality as a ministry through scriptural examples, personal examples (successes and flops!) and will refer participants to excellent resources on the subject. Hope for the Hurting: Understanding and Ministering to the Bereaved. This workshop will identify the stages of grief and the different techniques in ministering to each stage. Participants will learn what to say, and what not to say, to those who are grieving. Different styles of mourning will be reviewed: men, women and children, and participants will engage in limited role-playing if time permits. Course material has been gleaned from Crisis Care by Dr. H. Norman Wright. God Raises Us As Spiritual Children - (Hebrews 5:11-6:1). This workshop will help you look at how spiritual growth follows a path similar to our earthly development through the stages of infancy (being reborn in the Spirit) to mature spiritual adult. We will take a look at the sometimes humorous and sometimes difficult stages as we grow in our spiritual life under God's parentage. White Cross CoffeeHouse Once again we are having a CoffeeHouse to combine our talents and time together for the Lord's use in a great time of fun and fellowship.
