Romans 10:10-For it is with your heart that you believe and our justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and our saved. This Week's Devotion: One day at school, John was walking down the hall. Then, a boy named Josh, came up to him. "Excuse me, but is it true that sins send you to hell?" John looked at him, wondering how to answer him. "Yes, it is true. But there is a way out of it." Josh looked at him, confused. "What do you mean?" "Well, Romans 3:23, says: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ, Jesus, our Lord." Josh looked at him, and asked "How can I get that eternal life?" John took a deep breathe, wondering how to answer this question the right way. "Well, uh-Romans 10:9&10, says: That if you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart, that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth, that you believe and are saved." Josh asked another question "So, all I have to do is ask Jesus into my heart?" John took another big breathe of courage, and replied "Yes, and if you want, you can do it now." "And, I will. Can you pray with me?" John said "I will." John put his arm around Josh's neck, and they both bowed their heads. And in the hallway, of a busy school day, a young man named Josh, accepted Jesus into his heart. THE END To Think About 1. How did John handle witnessing? 2. Christianity is a free gift from God. If you're not a christian, now's the time to become one. God sent you to this site, it was no mistake. You may not have this chance again, now is the time to come to know the Lord Jesus Christ, and accept him into your heart.

As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector's bootj. "Follow me," he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him. While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew's house, many tax collectors, and 'sinners' came and ate with him and his disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?" On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but the sinners." CONTINUED.....
