What is Master's Commission?

The Master's Commission is a Generational Call to Character. It is the conviction of the ministry and members of Victory Fellowship that there is ultimately but one Master who gave His Great Commission. The Master is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, our Lord and Savior. His Great Commission commands us to "…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19) Young people who have chosen to enter The Master's Commission are choosing to dedicate one year of their lives to God in full-time service and discipleship. It is our fervent prayer that they will take their place in the body of Christ to join in the work of the Great Commission. In the end, may it be said of them that they are "…vessels of honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work." (II Timothy 2:21) This is truly "The Master's Commission"! STUDENT GOALS. · To give one year of his/her life in full-time service to the Lord and to the church. · To build a foundation in their lives as they transition from school to college/career, better preparing the students for future plans. · To earn college credit through Bible college courses as part of Victory Christian College. · To be equipped for ministry. · To gain practical ministry experience as they do the work of the Lord. · To instill a pursuit of excellence and develop a Godly work ethic. · To deepen their personal intimacy with and have an undistracted devotion for Jesus Christ. · To develop their character in conformity to Jesus Christ. · To learn to lead by learning to serve the body of Christ and the community. · To form and maintain covenant relationships with God and others. · To experience God's anointing, changing their lives and enabling them to minister His Word. · To develop Godly discipline in their lives. · To develop confidence in God's power, becoming bolder in their witness. We believe that all followers of Christ have a responsibility to reach out and represent Him in their community. The heart of the vision of Victory Fellowship is Isaiah: 58. As Christians we are called to define our culture and others in accordance with Biblical Precepts and Principles. We are to disciple nations and in order to do so we must first disciple generations. You cannot reach the world if you cannot first reach those God has placed in your immediate circle of influence. If your life does not reflect Christ in your workplace, school, family, and neighborhoods then it cannot have an impact on this or foreign nations. There is no such thing as sacred and secular. Everything belongs to God but man has perverted it to fulfill his selfish desires. As Christians we are ambassadors of the Faith. We recognize that Christ did not save us just for our own sakes, we determine to lay down our lives for the sake of the lost. We recognize that nothing is about us it is all about God. Everything is for His purpose and that is the establishment of the Kingdom of God. In being the light to the world Christ met the physical as well as spiritual, mental, and emotional needs of individuals He encountered. It is the whole person that needs the ministry. Above all, we seek to do the will of our Father God in reaching out to those in need. We will carry His heart for the lost as we fulfill the Great Commission.
