The Save Our Nation Campaign

The Letter

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

One evening, a few weeks ago, I heard the neighbors down the road having a terrible fight. I began praying for them, asking the Lord to send angels to surround them and protect them from demonic spirits. Shortly thereafter, all was quiet. The following morning I awoke very early and was unable to go back to sleep. I made a cup of coffee and went out on our deck. Remembering what had happened the night before, I began to pray for the salvation of the neighbors who had been fighting.

What happened next was extraordinary. The Lord spoke to me. He said "Who is praying for your other neighbors?" I responded that I didn't know if anyone was. Then the Lord told me that He wanted me to launch a campaign. He said we should assume that there is at least one Christian living on every block, street, rural road or apartment building in this country. He told me to initiate a campaign for every Christian to commit to praying daily for the salvation of the other people living on their block. I responded "Why me?" He seemed to chuckle a little and said "Moses said the same thing...Why not you?" He told me I was a good organizer and so I should handle this special project.

I said that we are all always told to pray for our country. He simply said "Too broad." He wants it more personalized. There is no specific amount of time each of us is to spend praying for our neighbors, just to do it daily.

He gave me this scripture "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Since this has happened I have, of course, been thinking about it a lot. I have come to realize how amazingly simple it is and how it of course, makes perfect sense.

1. When we are saved, it is only natural for us to pray for salvation for people we care about. But for the unsaved who don't have any loved ones who are saved, who indeed would be praying specifically for them? No one.

2. As to the scripture the Lord gave me (2 Chronicles 7:14) for people to "humble themselves...seek my face...turn from their wicked ways..." For people to do that, it must come from within, from their hearts. The only way for that to happen is for them first to be saved.

3. Hence, for God to heal our land, the people must first be saved.

What a glorious opportunity! I am so honored to be a part of this campaign.

The Lord told me to send a letter to ministries all across the nation, instructing all of you to pass this information along and to tell you that we would see a tremendous revival. He even gave me the name for this project. The Save Our Nation Campaign (The SON Campaign).

I have followed His instructions exactly. It is now up to you. Go with the leading of the Holy Spirit.
