This Ministry works with children of a very poor neighborhood of Bogotá. These children are one step ahead of becoming street childrens becouse of their extremly poor conditions and as a consecuence of their physical and sexual abuse. This neigbohood is ubicated in the "cintures de miseria" (areas of misery in Bogota)on the mountains of Bogota, where the houses are made of paper in constant dangour of falling down with mortal consecuences. Here they do not have public serveces. Our service there works as part of the different ministries of our church (Centro de Desarrollo Cristiano). We serve there since 1996, giving the children food, health brigades, clothes and of course teaching them the Word of God of is the only who can really change their lives. At the moment we work with 60 children between 4-16 years and 10 mothers. Our plans include taking the children to christian campments every year, more health brigades and more clothes and cruzades with the purpose to work and influence their lives in the moral, phycology and spiritual areas with conferences, workshops, recreation, etc. Most of this projects have been able to done becouse we dont have the economical resources. If you are interested in helping us or knowing more about us(photografic files) please le us know. Our church belong to the next organization and there they confirm the existence of our church - ADME (asociacion distrital de ministros del evangelio) - CEDECOL (confederacion evangelica de Colombia) we would be glad to answer you any question you have.
