SHINE OUT THE LIGHT STUDENT MINISTRIES
SOTLSM was founded September 26, 1995 by Jonathan Sams. SOTLSM is located in Gastonia, NC. SOTLSM is a ministry that works with churches and youth groups. If you ever have a retreat, mission trip, youth service and need a youth speaker, Contact Jon at SOTLSM@JUNO.COM. If you would like Jon to come to speak to your youth group he will need 3 months in advance notice. IF you like for the band to travel with him for the youth service just ask about "SHINE" For more information e-mail us and be sure to leave us your name, address, name of your church, youth pastor and your e-mail address and we will send you the booking information for the speaker and the band. In September of 2000 and many months afterwards Still Water will be traveling with SOTLSM in the states of Georgia, Tennesse, Missippi, Alabama, South Carolina and North Carolina and Louisiana. SOTLSM Is working with three bands. Still Waters located in Tennesse and Zeal, and Age of Faith located in Gastonia, NC. If you like for a band to travel SOTLSM will need a 3-5 month notice to book the bands.

"GREAT IT IS TO DREAM THE DREAM TO STAND IN YOUTH BY THE STARRY STREAM, WHAT THE GREATER THING IS, TO FIGHT LIFE THROUGH, AND SAY AT THE END, THE DREAM IS TRUE"........................ ........."SO BECAUSE YOU ARE LUKEWARM, NEITHER HOT NOR COLD, I AM ABOUT TO SPIT YOU OUT OF MY MOUTH". REVELATION 3:16............... _________________Making God Sick_________________________________ What makes God sick to his stomach where it makes him so sick he feels like vomiting? Its the Lukewarm Christians. You can only serve one God, you can't serve the world and God. Lets say we are standing in the center of a circle and on the left side or the circle it represents COLD and in the middle it represents LUKEWARM and on the right it represents HOT. Lets say the Cold represents the world and temptations in the world and all the goods and desires in the world. Lets say Lukewarm represents the christians that are serving the goods of the world and very little for God. Lets say Hot represents the Christians who has a firm stand in Christ, who has decided to do the will of God, to take the cross and follow him. If you are Cold in Christ this means you have not decided to follow Jesus that things in the world is more important to you. If you are lukewarm, this means you are in the center of the circle and you are keeping one foot in the world and also doing little for God and while you trying to serve God you keep on going around in circles because you are serving other things in the world and at times trying to serve God when you are serving other gods in the world, like how people will put other things in the world first before God. Some people put their money, their homes, their cars, their character,theirselves before God. In other words its like the lukewarm Christians are doing whatever they want to do in the world and when sunday rolls around they will go get their bible from underneath the couch or bed or in the drawer and wipe the dust off and go play church and while they are at church they sociallize with their friends and than after church they go home put the bible away and go back to serving the world as their bible collects dust as it is tucked away somewhere. As people go serve the world and forget about God until that next Sunday service and how they don't even show up for the prayer meetings on wednesday nights, but that Sunday, you will see them at church, singing the hyms, and checking their watch wishing that the sermon would be over soon so they can go home and watch their football, or races on the TV or go outside of the church to smoke a cigeritte or go home and be lazy in thier recliner drinking a beer or two. ((((WOW DID I SAY THAT))) Seems like the lukewarmers are just going for show and some do get invovled in thier church but do very little. Now, God likes it when you are HOT for him, when you are on fire, whenever the doors are open at church, when there is a new ministry begining in the church, when there is a guest speaker or anything going on that you are there. No matter where you go that you will set a example to others around you that you will shine out the light to the world, that you will take a stand for Jesus. He wants you to be Hot for him, to put him first.... God is a jealous God, he is loving,caring, sharing, giving, forgiving and merciful. God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross for your sins. Jesus took the pain, he took the whip slashings, he took the nails, he took the sphere in the side, he took the torture, the pain just for you. God is always there for you. He loves you so much infact when you call for him, he is there. He answers prayers, but he answers them when he wants to. So if you stand on the hot side of the cirlce, you are on fire for God, putting God first and as you go out each day in the world He is with you and as you are at church getting invovled in the church by attending sunday school, starting new ministries, serving God with all your body, mind and soul and most of all your heart. You make God so happy, so delightful. If you are lukewarm, serving the world and God, you make him sick to his stomcah and if you are cold, he is waiting for you with open arms that one day you will decide to follow him, to take the cross and follow Jesus. HOW TO RECIEVE CHRIST: 1: ADMIT YOUR A SINNER 2: BE WILLING TO TURN FROM YOUR SINS, TO REPENT 3: BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIED FOR YOU ON THE CROSS AND ROSE FROM THE GRAVE. 4: THROUGH PRAYER, INVITE JESUS TO COME IN YOUR HEART AND TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT, RECEIVE JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR. 5:E-MAIL ME AND SHARE THE GOOD NEWS WITH ME, I WANT TO TALK TO YOU AND PRAY FOR YOU AND KEEP IN CONTACT WITH YOU. SINNERS PRAYER: I KNOW THAT I AM A SINNER AND I NEED YOUR FORGIVENESS. I BELIEVE YOU DIED FOR MY SINS. I WANT TO TURN FROM MY SINS. I NOW INVITE YOU TO COME INTO MY HEART AND LIFE JESUS AND I WANT TO TRUST AND FOLLOW YOU AS THE LORD OF MY LIFE AND THE SAVIOR OF MY LIFE. IN JESUS NAME AMEN..... IF YOU SAID THIS PRAYER, READ YOUR BIBLE EVERYDAY, SET A TIME TO HAVE A QUIT TIME WITH YOU AND JESUS WHERE YOU COME TO PRAY AND READ YOUR BIBLE. FIND A CHURCH TO ATTEND SO YOU CAN HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH OTHER CHRISTIANS AND LEARN AND GROW CLOSER TO GOD, FIND A CHURCH WHERE YOU CAN SERVE AT, MOST OF ALL FIND A CHURCH WHERE CHRIST IS PREACHED. WHERE EVER YOU GO. LET PEOPLE SEE JESUS IN YOU. SHINE OUT THE LIGHT TO THE WORLD. AND E-MAIL ME AND SHARE THE GOOD NEWS WITH ME.
