A Woman's Character is Grounded in Righteousness

God has called all of us to a life of righteousness. It is through our obedience to this call that we will find true success and significance. The holy scripture admonishes us not to let our good be spoken evil of: "For the Kingdom of God is not eating or drinking, but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he serves Christ in these things is accepted of God and approved of men" (Romans 14:17,NKJV). Anyone having these three things: righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit also have three other GREAT blessings: they are a child of God; they are acceptable to God, and; approved of men. The nature and character of true Christianity in any person is called the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is not about wordly status such as positional titles, being of this party and persuasion, or that opinion or the other, but rather it will be asked who reverently feared God, worked righteousness, and who did not? God's word is telling us not to base our righteousness on things that are non-essential to our life in God. Why spend our zeal for or against those things that are so insignificant in God's estimate. The essentials to pursue are righteousness, peace and joy. As to God, righteousness because God is righteous and loves righteousness. As for humanity, it is peace - to live in peace, love and harmony with all men. Jesus came into the world to be the great peacemaker. And to ourselves, it is joy in the Holy Spirit. There are advantages when we observe these things as we serve Christ. First, we have the love and favor of God (and we need no more to make us happy. Second, we are approved of men - of all wise and good men; remembering, of course, that acceptance of God is our first priority. We win when we obey God's word. Matthew 6:33 tells us to "seek first his kingdom and his righteousness" then all good thiongs will be added to us. Women who win are continually seeking God's righteousness. In doing so they stay pure, peace-loving, full of mercy, considerate, submissive, impartial and sincere, and bearers of good-fruit. They are women of character who sow in peace while raising their own harvest of righteousness...they are Women Who Win!
