Ordained priest 1976.12.11 in Ottawa, Ontario. Elected Bishop Ordinary 1981.11.14, in succession to late Mgr O'Neill Côté (1939-1986). Consecrated by him 1982.07.12 in Longueuil, Quebec. Appointed General Superintendent for Canada, International Council of Community Churches, 1989.07.10.

Theological studies at Dominican College, Ottawa (B.Th.) and at the Christian Catholic Faculty of Theology, University of Berne, Switzerland (D.Th.). Pastoral studies at St. Paul's University, Ottawa: M.Past. Studies.

Other studies: Ph.D., University of Ottawa; M.P.A., National School of Public Administration; Dip., London Missionary School of Medicine, U.K.; B.Ed., University of Montreal; Dip. Arbitration, Bar of Quebec.
