Bilingual (Chinese-English) Church in Pingtung

Pingtung English and Chinese Evangelical Church (PEACE Church) was established in Pingtung City in 2014 to serve Pingtung and neighboring residents who desire to worship God and commune with fellow Christians in a setting that can meet the needs of both Chinese and English speaking attendees.

We are a small, but friendly international community with regular attendees coming from such countries as Canada, France, Honduras, Nicaragua, the Philippines, Taiwan, and the United States.

PEACE CHURCH Pastor, Maurie Sween is a US native who has been living in Taiwan for over 30 years and has been dedicated towards fulfilling his calling to ministry in Pingtung.

PEACE Church is located very near to National Pingtung University (Pingtung City) and is approximately 30 minutes by scooter from National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (Neipu Township). If you are a student at one of these schools please feel free to contact us and we can try to connect you with members of our church community who also are enrolled at one of these two institutions.

International Church Community in Pingtung

Pingtung City is the capital city of Taiwan's southernmost county. The size of the city is relatively modest, standing at just over 200,000; however, despite its small size it is home to a growing population of freindly foreigners -- many of which are college students,factory workers or English teachers. 

PEACE CHURCH was established with the needs of such people in mind, aiming to provide a welcoming community of Christians and seekers who desire to worship and learn about God using English. However, although we are an international community, we also highly value the language, company and companionship of the people from our host country of Taiwan, and therefore offer services that incorporate both languages.  

• English and Chinese Church Service is held 4:00PM to 5:30 PM every Sunday.
• The Church is located at 196 Hwa-zheng Rd. (near Ruiguang Night Market and the Pingtung Christian Hospital)
