Who Are We?

We are a church growing and changing with the times without loosing our traditional teachings. We are a parish that is made up of folks with different backgrounds and different denominations. We are a younger congregation that has something for everyone. The Church of The Good Shepherd was founded by The Rev. Jason Crowder, a former Methodist layman whom accepted the call to leave the United Methodist Church and to plant a parish of the Southern Episcopal Church, USA. The original church was located between Sweetwater and Niota Tennessee. On July 22,2017 the church suffered a devastating fire that forced the church to relocate. After a lot of prayer the church was relocated and is now housed in the former Blue Springs Baptist Church in Philadelphia Tennessee. God has opened the doors for us to be able to spread the gospel four different counties now instead of only two.

Our Mission

We open the doors and hearts of The Church of The Good Shepherd to ALL people, inviting them to share unity with God and each other in Christ through prayer and worship.
