GREATER GALILEE CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST was founded on March 21, 1946 in the City of Oakland, California, by the late Reverend Mack Lasenby. The Church is standing on a solid rock being led by the Holy Spirit and giving respect to the capable leadership of the founder of the Church of God in Christ, the late Bishop Charles Harrison Mason; and to the Denominational and Jurisdictional Leaders.
Greater Galilee is a member of the "Restoring Praise District" and under the direction of its Pastor, Superintendent James E. Bobo, Sr., Greater Galilee has a great presence in the community of West Oakland where the membership is following the Biblical Mandate: "Go Ye Therefore and Teach All Nations" through Evangelism, Witnessing, Feeding and Clothing Give-A-Way Ministries.
